NEW YORK 2140 - KIM STANLEY ROBINSON

This book serves as a warning of what could happen by ignoring, or at the very last not adequately addressing, global warming.
It's heavily influenced by the economic bubble of 2008 and its aftermath.
Bottom line - too many characters overly bloated writing and nowhere to go.
What I really liked about this book were the science / environmental elements of the story.
I have not had the easiest relationship with Kin Stanley Robinson.
This book is not a novel.
I really really wanted to like this book more than I actually did.
I guess what finally got to me about this book is that I can't see any real point to it other than Robinson's obvious wish to end global capitalism.
That's okay, I suppose, but it's not particularly exciting for me as reader.
